Hi, I'm Collin Nortier

I am currently a senior pursuing Industrial Design at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ever since I was a kid, I was always fascinated by vintage cars and their designs, as I would then turn to paper to draw them out. My initial exposure came through restoring old furniture, using knowledge I gained from my peers. This combination of design and my passion for drawing introduced me to the field of industrial design.

I believe that the connection between industrial design and restoration works hand in hand. This relationship has not only deepened my understanding of how materials come together, but also enhanced my appreciation of an object's long-term impact on its users. I constantly push myself, as I have found this to be a great way to learn and grow as a designer.
