Voice Recorder

CORE.01

Recording has become effortless, but also invisible. When audio lives inside phones, these moments are buried in distractions, making them feel disposable.

Development

CORE.01 draws from vintage recording devices not for nostalgia, but for the clarity they brought to interaction. Sketches and form studies focused on making record state, grip, and control feel more legible, so the device could communicate its purpose without relying on layers of interface.

Nothing to hide...

Designed for both the journey and the destination, CORE.01 creates recording moments without disappearing into a phone. The internals are left visible, letting the product’s identity come directly from how it is made. The result is a recorder that feels intentional in the way it moves through everyday life.

Lanyard carry, external microphone support, a detachable mic, USB-C recharging, and headphone connection extend the device beyond single-use interaction.
